I'm big into base as well...anything I don't have of those I collect is welcome, whether it's base, inserts, RCs, #d, GU, patch, autos, or anything in between!
If any of you are looking for base, shoot me a PM...I'm in the midst of sorting mine by team, and I should easily have a few hundred base for almost every team...LMK if anyone is interested in any!

Thats what I like most about base(aside from great photos), is kind of cool to see how a player progress's throughout the years.

I agree mate ! Plus you can pick up a few hundred for like $5 and will give you a good few hours of reading, sorting, looking at pics etc, when you easily spend more than that on a Gu or Auto card which will provide maybe 5 mins of attention before it's put into collection, I love base cards !!!!

I agree with a lot of the comments made in the thread. Went to the card show to try to find some base of Amare that I don't have and actually enjoyed reading the back to the cards. Many of his base cards have awesome dunk pics on them that are great action shots that portray his intensity. Another thing I noticed about base cards are some of the same action pics used by the different card companies from 5 to 10 years ago but from different angles of the play. I have come across several in my players that I collect(Amare, Nash, Marion, Arenas to name a few).

im glad for all that have responded..its a shame that everyone dont show the same passion no matter how big or small the collection is a lot of people are in it for the wrong reasons and thats why the market is the way it is now..dont get me wrong change is good but to the people that do it for profit well lets just say the profit from cards will never be enough god knows i wouldnt ever make it that way..i actually like giving out an extra card or 2 in a deal where the person is cool and enjoys trading like i do. i like the idea of super-collecting i couldnt afford to do it but kudos to people that can.....i have about 500,000 cards maybe more and about 98%of them are base old 80s stuff and up and its fun to go back through and look at them and i say to myself man, i have to get this stuff sorted...my intentions are good then after pounding out 12 plus at work then dealing with family i get on here and before you know it i have like 2 hours to sleep shower do it again..lol
