    Quoting..........................

"Once the negative or neutral feedback is left then as long as your communications are civil and non-provocative you can get the feedback removed within 48 hours max."

Unfortunately, this is not true. It should be, but it is not.
Trust me, someone left me a negative 2 months ago (they got the card and there was no problem) and I immediately called eBay about it, I spoke with a manager who deals with the feedback at eBay (i was extremely upset after being on 10 years and a 300 rating @ 100%) and he told me even though he agreed with me and the other person was in the wrong it does not matter, the feedback system is set up for the buyer to leave whatever comment and rating they want, he kept telling me it is simlpy an opinion. The buyer can get the product and still have a negative opinion and the seller has no recourse at all. Of course the seller does not have an option to leave negative feedback anymore, they took it away based on the explanation they gave me above. You can comment on a negative but that is pretty much useless.

Trying quoting accurately and completely. My post was very specific to feedback extortion. You truncate my post to suit your purposes then reach a false conclusion.

You offer no evidence of extortion in your specific situation so nothing in my post applies to your situation.

I think he was just trying to point to the fact that ebay is very much on the side of the buyer and not so much on the seller.

I don't think he was trying to win an argument with you. It seems like your post is a little harsh and unnecessary.

Then it is up to him to make the point you allege independent of me who was only trying to facilitate matters for sellers.

    Guys guys guys! Relax!

I'm sure it's no secret that big companies with large customer service departments are bound to have discrepancies. eBay is no exception. We all have a common thought here and that is that our fellow trader got mishandled and is looking for solutions to his problems.

In the end of the day, howethegreat, either situation is possible. You may get seafur's result or cartophilium's. The best thing to do is just try everything you can in terms of contacted customer support, paypal, disputes or any other resource. It's also smart of you that you tried to negotiate with the buyer and work things out I think that this is key. Just try to stay calm, negotiate politely and find an agreement. It's possible that the delivery service damaged the cards and if that's the case, I'm sure you'd fee upset too. I think talking with him is your best option and hopefully he appeals to reason.

I hope the best for you and look forward to a pleasant ending to a sombre story.

    See you around,

    Matt

Dang well it's looking like he was waiting for a refund to then not ship you the stuff. I would only partially refund him some to cover the shipping back to you. Then if he try's to stiff you buy sending back a box with nothing in it you still have something to show from it

If he ever returns them, just cancel the transactions. If he leaves any negative feedback after that, you should be able to get it removed.
