"Once the negative or neutral feedback is left then as long as your communications are civil and non-provocative you can get the feedback removed within 48 hours max."

Unfortunately, this is not true. It should be, but it is not.
Trust me, someone left me a negative 2 months ago (they got the card and there was no problem) and I immediately called eBay about it, I spoke with a manager who deals with the feedback at eBay (i was extremely upset after being on 10 years and a 300 rating @ 100%) and he told me even though he agreed with me and the other person was in the wrong it does not matter, the feedback system is set up for the buyer to leave whatever comment and rating they want, he kept telling me it is simlpy an opinion. The buyer can get the product and still have a negative opinion and the seller has no recourse at all. Of course the seller does not have an option to leave negative feedback anymore, they took it away based on the explanation they gave me above. You can comment on a negative but that is pretty much useless.

Your case is different than what is happening to the seller in this thread. eBay will remove negatives if the person leaving the negatives tried to exort something from the seller. My friend received 11 negatives from a buyer who hadn't paid for the items yet and threatened to leave the negs if the seller didn't cancel the transactions. He kept the emails and eBay removed the negatives within minutes of seeing proof of attempted extortion. In your case, as it reads, the buyer was simply unhappy about the items or the service they received and they left a negative. It sucks but nothing you can do about it.

I had the same thing happen to me but I had over 3000 Positive 100% and a buyer bought 582 cards from me all between 1-3 dollars each and I missed 6 cards which I was an accident. When he emailed me he wanted a refund of all the shipping and the missiing cards or he would leave negative feedback. I refused the refund and sent the missing six cards over night.

He then left me negative feedback for all 582 cards and 1 star ratings for everything. I contacted ebay and they said it wasn't extortion and then to top it off they later suspended my account because my DSR's were to low. (I guess they would be with 582 one star ratings)

I just decided to use my work address and create a new account.

This stuff makes my blood boil. If I wasn't teetering on a suspension for language I might use some. Very happy to just knock down price and sell to yall.

In order to avoid all problems above, I've been adopting some new policies. I make extra effort to enforce these against out of country buyers, because most of my sales are below $40 and therefore I dont use trackable shipping:
    1) no refunds.
    2) im starting to offer free shipping on a lot of items, PWE though
