My great ebay situation
a bidder won roughly 230 hockey cards from me nearly 2 weeks ago, paid for them sunday and they were shipped monday, well I receive an email from him saying some of the cards had corner damage(says all the cards are damaged yet he said he doesnt have the time or patience to look through the others). Now in my listings they all said the cards were in NM condition ( psa 7 roughly) which could have some slight corner damage. He then threatens me with a SNAD and 230 negs (is this feedback extortion?). This is going to be a long night.

I think we need more details. How did you ship the cards, and what value were they, about, each?
Did the seller opt for insurance? Do you think you are being scammed, there was damage in transit, or a difference of interpretation?

That is incredibly frustrating. I really hope the situation works out for you. Some people live in fantasy land. I sold a cd on Amazon recently as used/like new and it sold for a penny with $1.99 in shipping. The buyer wrote me and told me off because the cd case had a scuff. He told me he would have to listen to the cd because I obviously don't take care of my things.

Extortion
Basically any condition that is added after the fact and connected to feedback in anyway is extortion.Likewise a dispute about description, grading or any matter that gets linked to feedback being raised as a negotiating or bargaining ploy is extortion.
Example if you clearly say in the item description that return postage is at the expense of the buyer and the buyer wants you to pay the return postage subject to leaving negative feedback if you do not it is extortion.
Problem is that if you contact ebay before the negative is posted you will be dealing with a low level agent often overseas communications center type who has no clue as to the definition of extortion nor the ability to connect more than two dots at a time.
Once the negative or neutral feedback is left then as long as your communications are civil and non-provocative you can get the feedback removed within 48 hours max. Obviously you have to keep all communications. Also Paypal will support you.

lol. Tell him to take his penny and ___________ .
@howethegreat
Hard to say though. Lots of people on ebay looking for something for nothing these days. Best of luck, but I'm sorry that you have to sell on ebay in the first place.
