mad real mad
today i had a extra 40 bucks out my check. so i went to walmart to buy some packs. every time i go to walmart i always pull either a gu or some nice insert. and today there was something new in the shelf. they had a box with different packs in it, 16 to be exact for 20 bucks, ranging from panini classic, prestige to ud sp etc... anyways i thought it was a pretty good deal so i jump on it. so im pulling all kinds of good cards. so i start sorting them out but i take a closer look and i realize half of these cards got bent corners and creases on them. omg i was so furious. i cant beleive they would sell something like that. has this happened to anyone else? im wondering if i can take them back. and if you guys are wondering why i buy my packs at walmart is because they are so cheap compared to my card shop. the panini classic packs at walmart are three bucks and at the card shop they are 5 bucks. actually the panini box at my walmart is 20 bucks and at my card shop its 80 bucks. 80!!! yes its true. but whats your take on this? if this would of happened to you how would you react?

There is nothing Walmart can do to help you. Was the box damaged when you bought it?
Walmart sells retail packs which are cheaper than buying hobby packs at a local card store. This is why the price is different.
If this happened to me, yes I would be furious but I would eventually get over it. No use crying over spilled milk.

ok cool. but whats the difference between a retail pack and a hobby pack? its the same pack and same box. but i always pull better cards at walmart than the packs they sell at the card shop. sometimes i think the card shop opens the pack takes the good cards and replaces them with some wack ones and reseal them. because i always stay getting doubles, barely get any inserts or gu's. but at the ones at walmart i pulled my lebron gu and my derrick rose autograph and many inserts. and no the box wasnt damaged at all. but idk i guess il take that one to the chest.

IMO if im gonna spend money on card packs at a place like wal mart it is cause I have some extra cash in my wallet and if so I only will buy a box or pack were theres a guaranteed auto or gu so I at least feel like I got some of my moneys worth.

i saw a thread from another member that they showed the damaged cards to the customer service rep at the walmart he got em from & they refunded his $
& the difference between hobby & retail packs is that you're more likely to pull something nicer & more frequently from a hobby pack

Also, aside from the better hit ratio already mentioned, an $80 box at your hobby shop and a $20 box at Wal-Mart aren't the same thing. Hobby boxes usually have 24 packs, those retail $20 boxes only have 7 or 8 packs with much worse odds.
