on the same token retail has cards in it that hobby doesnt...certain topps chrome refractors come to mind cant remember the color i think it was blue lol but dont quote me

take ALL the cards to wal mart and complain. a white trash friend of mine used to take stuff (belts,dvd's,cd's) to wal mart he didnt even buy from wal mart and got replacements. they exchange anything. they are a bit more strict about it now but i would be surprised if they didnt replace it.

DONT SUPPORT WAL-MART!!! SUPPORT LOCAL SHOPS......two dollars more im sure u wont go homeless over that

oh i definately support my local shop its actually the only one left. there were 2 other shops but they went out of business. i dont want them to close ,that would suck. but again im still pulling better cards at the walmart then the shop idk why.

I haven't read any of the responses yet, just your post.
I hope you know there IS a HUGE difference between buying Retail and buying Hobby. You are buying two different products in some cases.

I wouldnt say card shops are going away because of Walmart, I would say they are fading away because they can't compete with the prices set by places like blowout and dave and adams.

And the fact that most LCS REFUSE to change with the times. How many shops do I have to go in to that are selling things for full book value or above it in some cases? Turns people away.

I only buy retail when the base non-auto RC card can go for some value. Like Topps Chrome, you can easily sell Durant RC. But for Panini product, RC card is auto card. And pulling an auto card in retail is nearly impossible.
