SCF Members Read This!!!
Ok, I have to do it. I feel it is long overdue that someone says this by now:
When making a post about a card for trade ... especially in the "high end trading" area please leave a scan. Inevitably, if there is any interest a scan is always requested anyways, so why not skip this step? I would much rather post a scan once than have to PM it to multiple people. Not to mention how many potential sales/trades that get passed up due to no pic being posted (I do this alot myself).
So here is my personal credo:
I hereby promise to all SCF members that when posting about a card for sale/trade that I will post a scan of that card(s) in the original post.
Anybody else wanna abide by this with me?

You can get scanners for $10 on ebay if you want. Tuttal- bostonwayno is saying that if you have a scan, post it!

You can post a picture, you can not post a picture, it doesnt matter! A picture would be good, but isnt neccesary! Do what ever you want! If the admins on the site thought it would be a good idea, they would have stated so! Just my 2 cents!

if everyone was posting scans then we would need rules as to how big the scan should be... as i posted in the pet peeve thread small scans bother me.
maybe they should say post a picture/scan with your forum name in it so you prove you have it and there wont be as much scamming going on for the higher end stuff.
off topic: i think they should suspend all member account untill each person looks up the price of some random card chosen by the admins on beckett.com and then enter the price so that it proves they know how to find prices and cuts down on that sort of posting (except new release of course).

Goutnout ...
I see where you're coming from here and its not a bad idea. Here's your problem: you run the risk of scaring away new collectors with a policy like that. Also, websites make money based on the amount of daily visitors as well as active members. SCF or any site for that matter is gonna shy away from any practice that lowers their membership numbers.
More members = more attractive to advertisers = more $$
But I do agree with you, requesting book value in most posts I read is just a case of being lazy. Anyone can look up a cards bv on their own. In fact, I started an earlier thread about bookmarking becketts website for fast price lookups.
