All Goalies: Should the Rookies Be Considered RCs?
This is something that usually comes up in discussions of boxed sets. The hobby tends to be fairly inconsistent on the issue, labelling some rookie players included in them as RCs and in others not. I know that last year's OPC Update set considered the rookies to be RCs, but since All Goalies is a stand-alone, should the following be considered RCs?
#2 Timo Pielmeier (it would be his only one!)
#14 Henrik Karlsson
#25 Richard Bachman
#29 Jordan Pearce (it would be his only one!)
#30 Thomas McCollum
#35 Jacob Markstrom
#39 Matt Hackett
#46 Anders Lindback
#47 Mark Dekanich
#48 Jeff Frazee
#53 Nathan Lawson
#54 Kevin Poulin
#63 Sergei Bobrovsky - kind of a big one
#73 Alex Stalock - it would be his only one
#75 Carter Hutton
#81 Cedrick Desjardins
That's a pretty good number of guys getting their debut NHL hockey cards - thoughts?
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I don't see why box set goods shouldn't be considered RCs. Sure they are guaranteed pulls, but that is no reason to not consider them RCs. If we go by the logic that they shouldn't be RCs anymore because the season is over, than Cup cards should only be XRCs as well.
They wouldn't be worth that much, but what harm is it for them to actually be classified as RCs?

Definitely RCs, IMO. I think IrbeFan4Life and sortguld summed it up nicely

I say yes. Distribution method shouldn't factor into the "RC" tag designation. Sadly though, it doesn't matter what we collectors say because all that matters is what the omniscient, almighty Beckett says.

They might be considered rookie cards but it's not going to effect their value. They still will be nickel and dime cards.

Aren't those Be A Player cards factory sets which mirror the regular release? If they release a factory set where the cards are identical to the ones found in packs (like Topps, OPC and Score from the 90's), then you have to say "Yes" they are RCs because there us no way to differentiate between the factory set card and the pack pulled card.
I see many are saying that regardless of how the card gets out a RC is still a RC. Does that the mean that UD's Rookie Class tins would contain RCs?Hidden Content

All Goalies is a totaly new brand that Panini created under their 11 liscence they negociated with the NHL. They also have a base set with subset like all ohter brand. The only difference is that they have all cards from the base set but the price is according to the product and should not affect value. The only difference is it's only goaltender. Note they all are in their team uniform too.
When the year started, we expected player to have 22 rookie, now it's clear to me only golaer will have possibely 22 rc this year. Like other said it wont affect the value but will probably book the less in all RC. All list I saw do list them as rookie too.
Also I see you point out on first rookie card would mean no rookie of them next year as they would be 2nd year already. But remember when many company did have liscence, Brodeur was a 2 Score RC card only. They sweatp the floor under all other manufacturer on that card. So that did happen in the past and this is what competion can bring and did bring as we can see, since we are discussing it.

newer sets like ovation and powerplay list the rookies as RC (ex.: Crosby,Ovie,Stamkos , etc. )

I agree that these should be considered rookie cards, because they are from a stand-alone set.
