eBay is EXTREMELY lazy
All I will say is I'm going to be looking for lawyer if this is not corrected TODAY!
I got this from eBay about a case
We issued a full refund of $66.00 to master_dest for this case ($$$$$$$$$$$). When we refund a buyer for a case, we'll charge your preferred payment method. However, there was a problem charging the reimbursement payment method you have on file.
Because the buyer has already been refunded by eBay, you don't need to issue a refund to the buyer, but you do need to update your reimbursement payment method or add a new one by contacting us. Your preferred payment method will be used for current and all future cases.
To update your payment method, go to your account in My eBay. Under the "Financial Information" section, click the "Add or "Edit" link next to "Reimbursement payment method."
You can view the details of this case in the Resolution Center.
WHAT?!?!? Reimbursement for what??!?!

its good to see that eBay is THAT lazy... to not even look at the tracking information.
To the Canadian members that I consider friends, this is just ANOTHER reason why US Sellers are refusing to deal with shipping out of the United States. Even when you follow the rules, it doesn't seem to helpLast edited by scottkoz20; 07-15-2011 at 08:26 AM.

as an FYI... i'm not upset with the Buyer, I wish he'd been a tad more patient, but he acknowledged he got the card.
My frustration is with eBay itself

Scott - no offense taken :)
To be quite honest, I don't blame any US sellers for not wanting to deal with Canadians, becuase this is exactly the kind of mess that they don't want to deal with.
It does go the other way though too.
I don't sell much on eBay, and it's been a while since I tried........ but the last time I mailed out (roughly) 15 packages over a two day stretch. 3 were headed for the USA, and in less than 10 business days, I had 3 cases opened against me.
The cases were all closed within a week, becuase the cards did arrive, but it's just so madening that buyers can raise a claim, without allowing for a reasonable amount of time first.
The stress that eBay's buyer protection policies cause sellers when cross border shipping is involved is really making it seem to be hardly worth it.

It is nonsense like this that wants me to avoid ebay at all costs, sell here, and not totally maximize profits. It is just not worth the headache sometimes.

I actually called eBay support and it was reversed over the phone.
Happy it is resolved, but it I should not have needed to call them on something that if they are trained correctly, should have been an open and shut case.
Sean - I completely get it. I do not blame anyone for not wanting to ship outside of their borders. My wife even told me that I should consider not selling outside of the US. However, it is not my goal to isolate myself to US buyers/traders only.
Update: He listed the card. http://cgi.ebay.com/JOHN-TAVARES-10-...#ht_500wt_1413Last edited by scottkoz20; 07-15-2011 at 09:07 AM.

No offense taken Scott :D, but this is a bit rediculous, they can't even follow their own policies. Take legal action just to give them a wake up call, like seriously that is unacceptable!

Now had they not reversed the decision, then I would have been working with a lawyer to file a lawsuit.
However, it goes back to training IMO.

Ebay is using the hiring practices of Steve Martin in Bowfinger.

I just finished selling my last singles on ebay and happy to say goodbye to them.
I worry with every card I sell that I can be ripped off.
I wonder how Ebay monitor buyers who get refunds all the time.
