How odd is your collection???
I wanted to start a thread about collections that may be considered off the wall or weird. Like collections of former Montreal Expos backup catchers, or long snappers of the Philadelphia eagles during the 1960's. I dont collect any of these but you get the picture.
Let us know what sort of quirky autographs you may have and how you decided to start collecting that person

Hey propete - I moved this to General Sports/Card Talk. I figured it might get more attention here.
I collect Clive Barker(Author, wrote Hellraiser), does that count? I grab anything that has his name attached to it, from CCG's to Video Games to Comics to Movies and (of course) books. Again, I am unsure if this would count as "Odd" but when I look at my large Hockey collection next to my minute Barker collection, it always strikes me as odd.

I collect...Drew Henson. Don't know why.
I also collect UNH Hockey and Football players. I went to UNH. But these cards are super hard to find.
I am also working on a BTL collection of Boston Teams Players. I am trying to get one of every letter in the Alphabet.
Some weird, some not so much.
Very cool thread by the way!Hidden Content
I collect Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and UNH Hockey and Football Players (Base/Inserts/GU/AU)
My PC NFT is exactly that, Not For Trade! It is for show only. So, please don't ask!
I unfortunately can no longer afford to trade outside of the US. Even Canada rates are way too high!

I guess that you are all wondering what I collect...
well, by my sig you can guess that I am a Philly fan. I am trying to get as many Phillies players that I can. I have a subcategory for the guys that never made the majors due to me living in Reading, PA (AA team for Phils for over 50 yrs.) but no matter how obscure, short, or maybe have a Phillies card but never played a game here (as in the case of Ronny Paulino) I want your card. I also have a collection of eagles cards (though not as many as Phils) and starting to collect Penn St. QB's and other players that have made it to NFL. SO if anyone has any phils, eagles, penn state cards to trade, I could prob. come up with a suitable trade for both of us
Nothing really obscure there but here is the one WEIRD thing I collect...
ERNIE WHITT! (catcher for Toronto Bluejays) When I was a kid, my friends and I would buy pack after pack and it seemed to be that you always got an ernie whitt card in every other pack! Im talking about 89 donruss, score, topps, whatever! It became a joke among us and about a year ago I joined up here. I was checking out the baseball successes and found his address! He would be the first guy that I sent TTm to in over 20 years! I got him back and was so happy! I even called my one buddy and told him (who hasnt collected in 20 years, guess he grew up) He thought I was a dork, but remembered joking about the Ernie Whitt cards.
Then to make my day even better, I found out that ernie whitt was coaching in the Phils minor leagues. I was in Clearwater for ST, and saw my childhood "hero" face to face!!! I got his auto there as well! That is the oddity about me!
