I collect white Wide Receivers. That is not intended to be racist in anyway. I always admired guys like McCaffrey (my all-time favorite), Largent, Proehl, Jurivicius, Waddle, and Wes Welker (my 2nd favorite!), to name a few... As a white wide receiver, it always gave me hope growing up, although my scholarly nature was more important that athletics once I finished high school...
I also collect Brandon Jacobs and Bart Scott (former Salukis!)

Thanks for the comment on your collection. and on a personal note, I dont think that anyone takes your collection as a racist thing. Now if you were to start collecting lawn jockeys or something???

Not very interesting for americans but here it goes...
I collect soccer related stuff from countries that don´t exist anymore, like East Germany, Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, etc. I started collecting it because i love european history.
I have an original picture taken in 1968 signed by the entire Carl Zeiss Jena squad in East Germany. A close friend of my grandfather was a photographer from a french soccer newspaper and he was assigned to take pictures of the champions of communist countries.
He was forbidden to enter the soviet republics but managed to enter East Germany. Even there he was almost arrested because they thought he was trying to convince their players to run from the country and play in the West. He eventually convinced them he was just a photographer and returned with the autographs of the entire champion squad.
I also have a ticket of the first official game ever played by the USSR in 16th November 1924 versus Turkey in Moscow and a newspaper page about the first football tournament in the Ottoman Empire (the date is missing but it must be from around 1910).

Nice thread...My collection isn't really "odd" but it does range from a Ted Williams bottle cap to an Albert Pujols auto baseball.

I have a small side collection that nobody knows about--just any time I pull something of one of these guys, I throw it in a binder...
I collect MLB players that wear double-ear-flapped helmets. (main guys are Victorino and Shin Soo Choo right now) How's that for odd?
