    Hey there...

    Hey all... just joined a few days ago, guess this should have been my first stop, sorry.

    I'm a Montreal Canadiens collector, been at it since @1991 but I was a collector in my childhood (late 60's early 70's). Sold off all my stuff in 1980 to get $$ to pursue other interests, but got back into it almost by mistake by opening a handful of 1991-92 Pro Set (!)

    My goal then was to obtain 1 of every card featuring a Canadiens player... naturally that's impossible now so I just try to do as well as I can. My collection goes back to the pre-war OPC sets (have 1 or 2 examples from most sets) but I haven't been able to get any of the really rare issues like Maple Crispette or the C5* cigarette issues (but when I win the lottery... watch out!!). I recently made the decision to stop buying the bulk of new issues past the 09-10 sets, except for any random stuff that catches my eye. I'm finding I'm just a little tired of all the parallels and SPs and the craziness surrounding the RCs... guess I'm in the minority here with that attitude *G*.

    Anyway, I'm here mostly for the chat/msg boards... not really into trading because I'm a singles-only buyer and I just don't have much in the way of trade-bait. Hard to go fishing without any bait!
