Potential Purchase. Want Some Opinions
Hey all.
Just really quick. My Wal-Mart has a box of 06-07 Parkhurst for $30. Is that a good deal? A fair deal? A bad deal? Are there really no RCs in the set?
Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

Is it a blaster box or a retail box?

It's not a blaster, it's a box. It has a "Hobby Box" sticker on it, but I would imagine it's retail.

eBay prices for the same Box, PH retail vary from $35.00 - $38.00 plus shipping the last time I checked.
You might find the odd one on there at $28.00-$30.00 but rarely. I think for the most part at $30 you will at least save from $8.00 to $11.00 on shipping alone plus another few bucks, so not a bad deal.
You might get lucky and get an Auto. They are stingy with autos in the Retail Boxes, but you never know.

That's another thing I was wondering. the link above says autos 1:36, my Beckett mag says1:6.
Was 1:6 just the hobby odds?

Yes, you get four autos per hobby boxes and a #d card per pack. In retail, which the Wal-Mart is, you get one auto and five #d cards a box. Still not bad, you get an autograph of a retired player and it could be a big one like Beliveau, whose last one that appeared sold for over $750 on e-Bay.

Not a bad deal at all... 06/07 Parkhurst is a great set full of hard signed signatures of retired greats.
