That hit by the Capital was criminal.
.................................................. .....................
You need to pull your head in. I've been concussed a few times, & it isn't fun, but it was a result of the Sports I chose to play, Hockey and Rugby. Ther was no injury that I sustained that was criminal, and both of my Hockey concussions were on Scott Stevens type hits where I had my head down.
If you are upset that Crosby is hurt, then just say so. Don't berate something into what it's not. And by the way, when I travel to Winnipeg, I go to watch the Pens.Last edited by centrehice; 08-23-2011 at 10:05 AM.

I agree, keep the ridiculousness about what led to this condition out of it.
It is a shame that he suffers through this. It's a shame for him and also for the league. He's the face of the sport. Like him or not, the NHL is better off with him on the ice.

When's your first trip to the Peg?
Criminal was a poor choice of words I guess. Many people feel the hit was clean, I say no it wasn't, that's all.
My concussions were not because I had my head down. I'm a smarter player than that.
But when your looking down ice and get hit from behind, that should be punished, and the NHL let it go.
Now they (the NHL) will pay for it. Losing Crosby will hurt this league.
Enjoy the Pens game in Wpg, try and keep your head up. Portage and Main is a killa

I lived in Wpg for 7 1/2 years and spent 7 years & 183 days trying to get the H.E. Double Hockey Sticks out of that hole. had seasons tickets for the last 8 seasons.
I will never go to Wpg, again as long as I live, but if I did, it would only be for an NHL Hockey game and I would leave immediately.

The NHL needs him...

Quote by his agent in article
"Sidney hasn't been shut down by anyone. He has simply adjusted his summer program accordingly to the different needs for the appropriate recovery," Crosby's agent Pat Brisson told ESPN Monday. "Training camp is in three weeks from now. It is too premature to speculate all kinds of deliberate information at his point. Sidney will address the media at the appropriate time in order to give everyone an update. As far as I know training camp hasn't started yet."
All this hype is just because of someone (source) and then another media outlet posting it without proven facts!!!
We will find out in a few weeks if he is ok or not. Until then I will keep my hopes up that he will play this year and will pickup were he left off last, torching the NHL.

This injury may take the better part of the year to have him back to playing quality.
In terms of making it back, the league needs Sid, it needs Savard and it needs every decently good player to keep the positive image of the great game it is.
Concussions are going to happen, lets just hope the league chops down those that Goon to concuss.
