Pack searching evens out the odds with the company if you ask me. They put so many different kinds of fillers and things in packs, and osme of the odds of pulling anything decent are outrageous.

I'm not quite sure why there's a problem with rare cards being hard to get. If they were easy to get most people would want them.

I don't do it and it don't bother me either, but here is just a couple of my thoughts.
    1) I don't think it is illegal, because pack is never opened, so they have not broken any law, unless the store has a sign stating not to do.
    2) What is different in feeling a pack of cards to get best one for your money and feeling a head of lettuce or feeling an apple or orange etc. , to get best one for your money, you are getting the best and leaving what you think is not as good for the rest of the people.
    3) It's a shame but everybody think it's wrong, but would buy from the pack searcher if he/she offered them a good card, you would forget how he acquired the card.

These are just my thought, like most everything else, there well always be a way to try and beat the system so to speak, because most pack searchers are in it for a profit and not for the hobby.

I don't think God cares if people are searching packs...

This convo is getting ridiculous. I'll be completely honest...if people are nuts enough to think packs at Target aren't searched then they get what they deserve. This isn't rocket science. It isn't illegal so you have to protect yourself. Buy from reputable dealers and sealed boxes (even those sealed Target boxes)...think before you purchase. Case closed.

I try not to buy a lot of retail and if i do it's for the rc's anyway. I don't consider what I do pack searching but some people might. I simply take out all the packs in the box or half of them depending on how many there are in a box. I look at the sides of all the packs and pick the thin and thick ones out, siomple as that. sometimes I'll take the ones that are somewhat mangled, lol. It's also a fair guess to say if the shop owner opens a fresh box and theres a pack turned backwards, buy it, there's usually somethin in it. It seems to me a lot of times Upper Deck has the good stuff on the top 2 packs or bottom 2 packs in no particular stack in the box. In their triple stacked boxes, I usually don't get anything out of the middle stack. I hope this isn't cheating, I don't bend, feel, weigh or anything like that. I do know that alot of the 04 Sweet Spot auto's were on the top of the pack and very easy to feel, sometimes you could see them.
