Beyond the rookies, who would you put in the base set that would be a more or equally desirable card than the legends? It's not like the RC's aren't going to be dominated by four of the most popular RC's of the season. :)

That's a good point. Until I actually looked at their roster, I didn't realize how weak the current Edmonton team is. Sure, you've got Hemsky and Smyth and Gagne, but they do not rise to the level of Kurri and Fuhr.

The Lemieux offerings are a bit frustrating. I know it will not be possible to get many for my PC. Lemieux has 37 different cards in The Cup. Of those 37 cards, 28 (77%) are numbered to less than 25 copies (not including two cards that are simply listed a "SP").

Oh well, I can still try to chase down as many of the Lindros cards as I can.

The Cup provides a mixed blessing for player collectors - absolutely stunning cards but man are they ever costly. LOL

Bauldie just added The Cup checklist in the SCF inventory and I see my percentage went down with these new addition from Carey Price (23 new cards).

I went from 16.6% to 16.3% (254/1559) that I have of him.

23 more cards to collect.

I see some Cup on eBay now... If UD is going to have hand numbered cards and have a 3 year old do the numbering, maybe they should # them on the back.. That Kane looks terrible!

Wish it was more, but cannot complain with a 'signature patch'.
