Flyers Sign JVR to a 6-Year Deal

I like the deal as Giroux and JVR along with Briere are the heart of the team now. There is no doubt JVR plays hard, and I am glad to see he got rewarded.

I think it's a different story here, when JVR hasn't hit his potential and Leino has hit his ceiling.

Thats a lot of money to throw around for the potential he is said to have. Nice player but I dont think hes done anything to deserve that kind of payday. I also think its funny that people talk about how much Buffalo overpaid and for Leino (I concede that it is higher than he should be making), while saying the JVR deal is a great one. JVR has 75 points in 153 games and Leino has 73 in 149. Almost identical stats and one is overpaid while the other is a bargain? lol. Hopefully both players can live up to the conracts they got (especially Leino though lol)

I think hes going to do well this year myself along with giroux
