I'd still like to know what it said on the back of that Savard shield. I did see some Dominion rookie shields that differentiated "game-worn" versus "event-worn" for photo-shoots. I hope Panini accurately said "event-worn" for this Savard shield.

And with no further response or clarification from Panini, it just makes me wonder about the Denis Savard Peerless Patches. I have seen three really nice Savard patches out there on eBay. In only one auction have I seen a scan of the card back (link below). It says game worn, so I hope it is from that 88-89 sweater, and not from the same jersey that the shield came from.

Additionally, I was looking for general information from collectors who could clear up what exactly it says on the back of some of these Dominion veteran shield cards. I am in the market for a shield card and want to rule out any products where the shields may not actually be "game worn."

The Peerless Patches and other patches from Savard are definitely from a jersey from his playing time. They are all the older style patches, and not the modern style used on the newer Reebok jerseys. The sleeve patch on the modern jerseys has a different style to it, as well as the chest emblem.

The Ciccarelli pieces are from a stick used while he was with Washington in 1989-90.
The Savard shield was cut from a 1988-89 Blackhawks sweater.

I was wondering if you could identify whether the puck in the Vintage Pucks Ciccarelli card is from any particular game or year?

    Thanks

    just saw this.
i am really beginning to think a lot of this jersey stuff is fake, i mean, unlesss they make a lot of mistakes?
if a shield from 89 was used, where is it right now? cause its not on the card?

event worn, and this is guranteed by panini, really doesnt say much.
    what is guranteed about it?

id like to believe all this, but how are their so many pieces of a stick that was used 20 years ago?
they hardly used any extra sticks back then, so i just dont know.
also, the rookies have hundreds of jersey card on each set of cards, and then they sell real ones to. assuming a rookie played like 4 games all of last year, how could they obtain so many pieces?
sheifele played 8 games this year, i cant imagine he used that many jerseys?
