Good to know earning your division to set your rotations up means nothing...I still want to know who thought it was a good idea to start this game...and yes I'm angry/mad/upset, Verlander pitches only once now, granted Fister gets to pitch twice, but I want Verlander twice over anyone. Plus now Scherzer is likely gonna get bombed on Sunday, Comerica park was a better place for him to pitch at

Well, it sucks for both teams, as we wanted CC twice. Friggin rain.

It just doesn't make sense. I get i'm beating a dead horse at this point, but the radar was HORRIBLE before the game started, it just lacks common sense to start this game

I saw him signal strike 3 twice..If its a drop 3rd strike, the ump doesn't normally signal strike 3..Jackson ALWAYS runs out a drop 3rd strike..

I actually don't think the delay gives either team a huge advantage and I would argue it actually helps the Tigers more. They have a better staff behind Verlander compared to the Yankees.

An umpire does not signal a dropped 3rd strike. He called strike three and then called Jackson out when he left the dirt therefore abandoning first base on the dropped third strike.
His out call was the same motion is his swinging 3rd strike call which is very common.

When I've seen drop 3rd strikes, I've seen the umpire signal it was dropped, he signaled him out.

Atleast the Tigers still have the better pitcher going tommorow though, even though MLB wasted an inning of offense by having the hitters hit in unhitable conditions...That storm looked like the game I went to a few weeks back, was impossible to see

Tigers hitters on hitting in the conditions
*credited to Danny Knobler*
Alex Avila on top of 2nd: "I couldn't see anything."
Tigers said it was impossible to see through the rain in the top of the 2nd tonight. Raburn: "I was hoping [Sabathia] would throw a ball."
Like I said, advantage pitcher.

That was crazy to play the top of the second inning in that rain, i was worried CC was gonna slip and strain a muscle. Oh well, its over, and now both teams have to deal with it. This has been the worst year i can remember for rain during games in the northeast.
