Jackson strikes out and doesnt even try to run to first as the ball gets by the catcher.
Jeter stricks out and DOES try to run to first as the ball gets by the catcher, and Jeter winds up scoring the tying run.
Quite a difference.
Meanwhile, the game is postponed, this sucks.

Like everyone else said if there was no window to get this game in why start it at all. Both teams suffer the consequences, and trust me the fans would rather see a C.C.vs. Verlander matchup than whatever we might get tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure because the umpire signaled strike 3 and not a drop 3rd strike. Doubt Jackson realized it got away.....Hidden Content

It'll probably be Fister vs Nova and Sabathia/Verlander pitch on Sunday, atleast that'd be my guess.

What truly isn't fair is whoever pitches for the Tigers will need to pitch 1 extra inning,as the Yankees starter already has a 2nd inning under his belt.

Certainly helps the Yankees out more than the Tigers...now the only way they see Verlander twice is if the series goes 5 games, and Leyland is willing to pitch JV on 3 days rest.

So now it stacks up like this
Game 1- Fister vs Nova
Game 2- Scherzer vs Garcia
Game 3- Verlander vs Sabathia
Game 4- Porcello vs Burnett (yes it sounds like its gonna be Burnett)
Game 5- Fister vs Nova

All the resting of pitchers to set up a playoff rotation, all washed away by a rainstorm, should be a weird series starting tomorrow.
