Topps Finest Protector.
What was the whole point in having a peeled protector on cards? It made the cards less nice to look at. Was it really necessary.

I'm not sure why either, I guess they are like a dust protector. And they also show that the refractor is 100% authentic. The ones with the sticker protector also do sell for more than ones w/o them.

Yeah but at what cost. I think topps mainly did it to give the illusion that our cards are so important that they need to have a protective layer over them.
