Pricing advice needed, please!
Here's the deal.
One guy offered me a 1996-97 Lord Stanley Heroes Finals Gilmour /100 BV 80$ card.
It is just like a this one, but white and more cutted:

It is a VERY legendary set, and I have been searching it a long time. Well, I have a lot of older wants which I've been looking for a long time.
In ebay, last Lemieux went less than 90$ about half an year ago (auction style.) The last six years I have bought about 1500 different Doug's cards and I believe there are not many people who know that card price better than I, but..
I still wanna hear some opinions!
What would you think a fair price for the card? Please.
Regards
Harri

Gilmour is no Lemieux, I think if you pay more than $40 you are overpaying.

Are you kidding me? Do you know how rare these cards are? Trust me you'll see thousands of Gretzky jerseys before you can lay your eyes on three cards from this set.

Ive been searching for Jagr almost everyday for 4-5 years now, and I havent seen one copy of this yet. So I guess the price would be pretty high, I would pay around $50 for that card. Awesome card by the way, hope you can catch it!

NOt debating that, just saying that traditionally, if you have a card with Lemieux, and a similar card with Gilmour, the Gilmours sell for less than half of the Lemieuxs. So If a Lemieux sold for $90, I would start out with an offer of $40 on the Gilmour, and MAYBE push it to $50.
That is what I would do. For all I care he could pay the BIN $80, I mean, if the card is SOOOOOOO incredibly rare, why take a chance?

Like this one?

I paid $300 for the Forsberg when I found one and once owned the Lindros which I sold for $500.
I don't care if Lemieux sold that cheap, that is an anomaly. Typically when those cards even show up they always break $100-150, even the "common" players in the set.
Why mess around with a card SO rare, especially if you are THE collector of him? I always say, if you're willing to pay it you will. Hit the Buy It Now or you may never see it again.
Seriously.

Because I want to be fair in all directions.
Thanks to all. My first offer was 80$ and seller thought it was a lowball. I made second for 105$ and now third 130$. No response.
In my opinion 130$ is a fair offer.

See ya in hockey show & tell section someday!

BTW. This is how these cards are booked. Forsberg is 250$ and Lindros 80$, pretty nice deal Barrie! Yeah, I know, Beckett listings are far behind in 'modern' times. If you guys own any of these, it would be nice to see them..

Those cards are a bit like the Collector's Choice Platinums, Those like Yzerman, Roy, Gretzky that are over $100.00 or in that ballpark, simply don't sell that well.
When they do sell it's about 18% of BV tops. That Gilmour if you are patient can probably be had for less than 10 Bucks.
In 2000-2004 they weren't moving at all on eBay because they are overpriced in terms of BV.
I have an Yzerman and will probably have to find somebody to trade it to, because it will not sell for what it should.
