FURIOUS with ebay

so, ive been waiting for a certain card with certain specs to surface for a long time.
it was bad to begin with as all others completed auctions had been under 10.00cdn.
this i had set my max bid to 17.00, and it had reached 14.50
so i log on to watch the last bit of it expire while im in the lead.
now im leading everything is good.
with ten seconds left, it goes to 16.59, and i say, hmm i should increase, and i start typing.
then i stop.
it goes to 17.00, so i quickly go for the one click bid.
click.
item expired.
darn, may be years before i see the card again.
thanks alot ebay.....
nhl hut has a better system, higher bid added, 15 seconds is added to auction...

also, there is defiantely no way to contact the buyer, correct?

Sorry but that isn't ebay's fault. Happens all the time getting sniped and it sucks. I mean they should do what you suggest though as they would make more money that way along with the sellers making more money.

If you want to find out the buyer just check sellers feedback as well as feedback left for others by seller, good luck

That's the thing, I put my highest bid to double the price of what the highest of all the others sold
I'm fairly new to eBay, so until I found the sniping topic I didn't even know what sniping was
I'll definitely know for next time, I still can't get over how high the bid went
Its almost suspicious
