    Certified or SPX?

Looking to buy one of these boxes but the 11-12 version when they are both released. Most likely just going to get one of them. Based on what you've seen from last years version of these products, what do you think I should get?

In my view (limited as it may be) Certified was the best overall product of 10-11, with boxes delivering A LOT of value for the price. If its the same price this year (in the 100-110 range), it should bring a very good value with it.

SPX is hit or miss. If you really like a particular year's rookie crop, its a great product. But this year's crop doesn't seem too deep (Landy, arguably the #2 rookie, isn't selling too well). I do have to say that I opened (for someone else, mind you) a Gretzky Shadowbox auto from last year's SPX, so that did help my view of it.

I'd say it comes down to what you want to get out of the box. If you want 10 or so hits from your box, with the focus being on ALL players, then Certified is the way to go.

If your focus is on rookies (and since you collect Hodgson, it probably matters somewhat), go with SPX.

Thanks, I actually like a mix of both rookies and random hits. Hard choice since they both have hits and both have RC jersey autos.

Although I'm not a big fan of Panini I certainly did like Certified. Lots if hits but I think the only problem (hopefully its been cut down) was the parallel hell. SPx on the other hand does have its ice bonus pack which can get you a /99 rookie but if you are lucky you can pull some nice stuff. I would personally go with Certified as it is cheaper and has better value as one poster said!
