I have had many Real Gretzky Rookies in Hand. I've also had many fakes in hand.

The OPC Gretzky Real thing has a Cream Backing with tiny brown flecks in it. This card back looks more Grey a sure sign of a Fake Gretzky.

Fake Gretzky's are all also made of very flimsy paper stock. The real 79-80 OPC Stock is thin to begin with, but the fakes are paper thin.

They are also perfect, Perfect corners, perfect centering, and most of the time they are Too Blue - The color appears strong in fake Gretzkys.

In response to Bama's post if there were a BGS 10 Gretzky it would sell for $5,000? Not a Chance. If a BGS 10 Gretzky showed up, it would sell for well over $120,000.00 or more. The Big Collectors in Canada have all stated this.

Right now a perfect Gretzky does not exist . The Man that has more records in Hockey than any other player in any other sport would demand an incredible price.

I've been told that there might be one BGS 9.5 Gretzky. It's estimated value is $22,000.00 USD if it exists, so a BGS 10 would fetch $100 + LARGE No Probelmo.
