I like option 4 the best. The others are fine too except #3...maybe it's just because I couldn't picture St Louis playing in the "Southeast division"

Any more than Dallas playing in the "Pacific"?

St. Louis is very close to Florida. A lot closer that it is to Los Angeles, Edmonton, San Jose, Vancouver, or Calgary.

Same as Columbus and Nashville - Game times...and travel costs, but like I said before...they can afford it. But the fan base is constantly subject to late start times because of the West Coast matchups throughout the season. As fan, that sucks. I hate it when the Sabres head out west that 1 or 2 times a year, and have 10pm games. Harsh.

    see im not like that
i hate when we play in the east cause i cant watch it.
for a hockey game, any start time before 8pm, i cant watch, and late night games are funner

thats why i watch a lot of canucks, oilers, flames, ducks, kings games,
i have to pvr most jets games.

The Eastern time zone is only one hour away from Wpg. I don't understand how the difference from a 7:00pm start is that much different than an 8:00pm start?

Unless it conflicts with your work that is. I was a Jet's season ticket holder for the last 7 years, and I loved the extra hour when the Jets went East, gave me time to get things done and not rush my Supper before the puck drop.

    colorado 2 hour diff
    calgary 3 hour diff
    edmonton 3 hour diff
    vancouver 3 hour diff
    minn 1 hour diff

    dall 2 hour diff
    SJ 3 hour diff
    LA 3 hour diff
    Ana 3 hour diff
    Pho 3 hour diff

    Clumbus - same time zone
    chi - 1 hour diff
    st l. - 1 hour diff
    nash - 1 hour diff.
    ----------------------

Vancouver analysis since we have west coast whining

San Jose,Edmonton, Vancouver,LA,ANA Pho,Calgary all in same time zone

Colo, Dall - 1 hour diff

    chi,St. lou,nash,Minn - 2hour diff

    det,colum - 3 hour diff

not hard to see det/columbus have much more travel distance. detroit only gets help in playoffs if columbus makes it, where vancouver has 7 diff teams that can make the playoffs within same time zone.

7 isnt that bad, but later makes it easier.
earlier the game, im either working, or i have to eat, take people places, go out, stand up, get dinner, do things.
8 and after, i just sit and watch.

thats also why i love going to games, there is no choice, you HAVE to sit and watch.

also if im going to the game it sucks, tomorrows game is at 6, going to have to leave my house at 330-4, and thats your whole day.
game starts at 8, you leave at 6, get home at 12.

i just like watching later, its easier, and allows me to watch without interruptions

Show me where the whining is, HockeyCardsPlus.

What you have is a Vancouver fan pointing out the Detroit doesn't deserve the entire league too bow to their whim just because of how long the team has been around.
If the league is going to bow to that, the 24 "non-Original 6" teams should just fold up. I'm tired of a few cities thinking they own the league because they were there first. If you want to live in the past, go get some old tape and watch to your heart's content.

I also think league-wide playoffs are a bad idea. I used to think like many of you, but if we have league-wide playoffs, there's no point to divisions and conferences anyway.

Doesn't matter if it's 800 miles or 8 feet, farther East is farther East and therefor has more right to be in the EAST.
