Yup, UPS absolutely will destroy any good deal you find in the US. I've paid $80 of "brokerage" on a $350+40 item a few too many times. Fedex has been solid, and I've never paid more than duty. Duty, I'm fine with paying. It's the "other" fees I'm not happy about. Another user helped me out in a PM, and gave me a tip for another LCS that I might go and try out tomorrow.
