What should the Colts do?

Trade Manning. Trade out of the #1. Trade your #1 in 2013 draft for another high #1 this year and pursue either Griffin and trade down to get Landry Jones. Use the other #1 you pick up to draft Juston Blackmon and then draft defense in rounds 2-7. Donald Brown could make the grade, if not, look into Free agency and then draft an RB in 2012. A young RB in a rebuilding process won't be a benefit for a year or two anyway, don't want to burn him out before the team starts to be successful.

Thats kinda what I think too. I think they should try to pick up a QB in the draft but if it was me I would pick up RG3 either late in the first round or in the later rounds depending on where he falls. I think they should trade down but try to look for a deal like the Falcons offered last year or the Saints offered back in the day, try to trade that #1 overall of 4 or 5 picks in the first few rounds.


BUT, none of this matters, sources say the Colts are going to draft Luck at #1.

My other issue with them is this, QB's are some of the hardest positions to determine. Everyone thought Tebow was worthless, now he has as many playoff wins as Romo and more than Matt Ryan, every team in the NFL passed on Tom Brady more than once, he's now a legend, the Colts traded away John Elway, now he's a legend, popular opinion thought Cam Newton would fail at the NFL level and he excelled, JaMarcus Russell looked to be worth $40 million, he wasn't worth $40, Ryan Leaf was the next best QB to Manning in their draft, he would have been a good water boy for Manning, David Carr was the building block to start the Texans franchise, I bet no one even knows where he plays now.

If the Colts take Luck and he fails like many hyped QB's have then they are in for a long few years of failure. Also, if you going to keep Manning don't you want someone to protect him so he doesn't get hurt?

They are just so thin all over it seems that drafting Luck won't help, if anything he is going to HATE playing for the Colts after he gets drilled play after play, game after game. As always, just my opinion, I was also one of the people who thought Cam Newton would fail and I was wrong there too

Keep Manning and draft Luck. If this year's team has shown anything it's that the Colts are nothing without Peyton. Bringing in and starting a rookie QB will not fix things, no matter who he is.

Unfortunately, I think Peyton's career is almost over so Luck will be riding pine for maybe two or three seasons. During that time, Luck gets to learn how the NFL works and how to be an NFL quarterback while at the same time the Colts organization can take steps toward rebuilding their team so when Luck does take over he has a talented supporting cast surrounding him.

Where is the real answer? It isn't even an option.

Manning won't be traded. He'd be released.
