You have a 00 civic.
Someone is hmming and hawing about maybe paying you 8,000 for the car
You treated it well, it has aftermarket parts(amazing patch) and you feel you could get more
But.......
Kelly Blue book says your car is only worth 3000 and the norm price to sell them is 2000
Should you sell it for 2000 cause that's what the sv is and what Jimmy the street corner kid told you to do?
No you own it, it's yours, you keep it, or sell it IF you get what YOU want for it
It's HIS card, if he wants more than the amount it previously sold for he can ask
There is no obligation saying you have to buy
Kraft dinner, or no name macaroni and cheese?
Kraft dinner 2.00
No name .50
Is kraft an idiot?

I know what you're trying to say and I understand. BUT, you have to be realistic about things. Asking $8,000 for a good car in great shape with aftermarket parts and low mileage is not unreasonable. What this seller is doing is akin to asking $50,000 for that car. It's not going to happen.
This card has been on eBay for 5 years and has had a plethora of offers, some, I'm sure, very lucrative and the seller ignores them. He has unrealistic expectations and thus, is an idiot.

I do understand where you're coming from..... the the logic doesn't translate.
In the case of the car - The problem you're faced is that if you're serious about selling..... there are 100s of others nearly the same that a buyer CAN go buy for $3000, or less. It's fine to say you've got aftermarket parts on there - but as the buyer, I don't care. I want that model of car, and I want it for the going rate. If you're serious about selling it you'll have to sell it at the 'normal' price.... or I will go somewhere else.
It is easy to say that the owner can ask, and only accept, a price that is to their liking. I agree with this 100%. I think the owner is also being irresponsible with the use of his own time, and that of the perspective buyers, if he has no intent to sell the car for a price that isn't even close to normal.
KD costing 4x more than the no-name equivalent..... you're dealing with two issues. Quality (I don't know, I've never actually had no-name Mac & Cheese..... and it's been years since I had KD. Is it actually the SAME product, or is it a lesser.... but similar.... product??) and also brand awareness.
If I were to go buy a GU Sidney Crosby jersey (with COA, from the NHLPA) and cut it up to make my own hockey cards - even if they looked to be near the same quality as Upper Decks (yes, this is a really big hypothetical) I would never expect to be able to sell them for the same price.
Going back to this listing..... it's not the "owner can ask whatever he wants" thing that bothers me. It's the fact that more and more eBayers seems to be doing this. They list cards at astronomical prices - prices that they know they'll never get - which tells me they have no real interest in selling. If they have no real interest in selling, then why bother?

I understand both sides I do
I hate going to lcs and seeing a scheifele yg for 130$
I'm like k that won't sell fellow
But I'm just providing a bit of defense, this is a high quality card, it is out of 10 and the seller is obviously a huge Crosby collector.
Both sides are reasonable I think
As for kd, I would never buy any macaroni and cheese if it isn't the original kraft dinner by kraft
I don't care how much more I need to pay, nothing competes

Did you know.....the chemical compounds found in Kraft Dinner are nearly the same as those found in garbage bags. Must be the cheese.

It Tastes good though, so I could care less
To try and relate this to cards, don't wanna get to off topic here, I think there should be "game used food cards"
Pre game meals could be chopped up and put into cards ?
Game used water Gatorade and bottle?
