That's why Yao Ming was the leading vote getter for so many years even if he wasn't playing. If he was on the ballot now, he'd still get more votes than any other player.

It looks like the NBA All-Star selection goes to the players who are most popular rather than the players who perform the best. Didn't CP3 miss a butt-load of games? Yet he still made the All-Star team? Blake Griffin a starter over KLove?? No Monta Ellis? No Rudy Gay? No Kyle Lowry? C'mon now. Roy Hibbert and Steve Nash don't even deserve a nomination, let alone a selection. Greg Monroe is performing better than most elite centers in terms of numbers this season.
It's all about getting people to watch the game and people aren't going to want to watch Kyle Lowry and Greg Monroe. They wanna watch CP3 lob it to Blake Griffin likes he's been doing all year.

I don't really have a problem with Nash getting in, he is the league leader in assists and is shooting over 50%. I do agree with Hibbert, and i will throw in Dirk and Paul Pierce in there. Pierce missed quite a few games, and Dirk missed a few aswell, but the thing about Dirk is that this is one of his worst seasons satistically.
