That Disney / Roger Rabbit stuff is in great shape. I came across some smurfs of the same type this weekend and I would have picked them up if they weren't green with yellow hats from age.

I should know this but is $0.10/card a fair price on an unknown lot?

I'm guessing it's somewhere between. There are some sets, oddball stuff and the usual RCs and JSYs etc, but other than that pretty unknown. I'm sure there's loads of base.

This is very true. Last summer I hit a garage sale and he had 5 little stacks of 25 cards each. Looked like mostly 00-01 black diamond base. So instead of going through he said take all the stacks for 5$. Said sure and figured I wouldn't find anything but low and behold the only rookie in it was heatley. 100$BV. Was quite happy lol

Take a stab because you might find an oddball that will triple your money.I have a ton of bins from doing this but made my money back and some.

For the sake of argument, let's say it's a 40,000-50,000 card lot.

Do you have that much room and can you move it to your home? Also do you have that kind of scratch?I would make a bulk offer and see what happens. It will give you months to go thru it but a gem might be hiding. My biggest lot was 3 3o gallon totes which I counted roughly to 25,000 cards.Got him down to $90 after i told him about all the time it and space it would take up.Came up finding 1956 topps bob lemon in great shape,60 topps al kaline and a 65 lou brock. Those 3 made my money back. But I still ahve those totes and still sell off and trade what was in them

So, I managed to pick this up for a quarter yesterday. Came with the key, works beautifully.
