My LCS still has an open box of old Titanium on the shelf, with packs for sale. Pretty sure the rip-off store owner wants $25 per pack for them (still).

Junkini, 2$bin-e-ni , its only been a year and a half and more then 50% of hockey collectors are sick of their rehashing of old products with parallels and no value .

<< stop beating us with tons of mid range products with no value.

for ur perry-smith x/2 i bet will have 1000 color parallels so every collector will have one, no need to fight over them

What to make this product be hewt, hot .. make no parallels of the rookie numbers ,, that will give and hold value to these cards. ( and maybe make this products legendary name live on) dont drop the ball junkini.

    Seriously dude?

Every thread that even mentions the name Panini you come right out bashing it. The product isn't even live yet nor has a CL been posted and you're already saying its going to have no value and 1000 parallels. How about actually seeing the product first hand before you break out the Junkini 2$bin-e-ni crap.

There are actually quite a bit of us who enjoy the products Panini puts out and I know a lot of people like the idea of rekindling the old hockey products that a lot of us miss.

I enjoy Panini's products and am tired of you posting on every thread "Junkini" if you don't like what Panini makes you could keep it to yourself instead of bashing the hell out of it.

Amen. Yeah they lack some, still ugly jerseycards, too many parallells (perhaps, but some like it, and it also giver "poorer" collectors something to collect). I'm not gonna list all what Panini got that others don't have, but superior basecards, different designs, inserts that they actually care about carefully done, a wider setlists in highend products where not everything circles around no-name rookies (cause most of us never pull the big names in the UD products, do we). Shortly, Panini make products for real collectors not only treasurehunters. I have to admit some products, like Limited or Crown Royale, are way too similar to UD (Ultimate, SPA for instance), where the risk is you end up with a worth of $10. I think Titanium run the same risk. On the opposite of others here, when I start to remember I never liked the old Titanium. Mostly a bunch of lowend jerseycards, and no one mortal ever pulled those ultrarare rookies. It's a fascinating idea and it will be interesting to see what happens with those rookies, but I doubt I'll buy a box. If I want highrisk gamble I can buy a lotteryticket.

But Private Stock on the other hand, bigger chance to pull a rc what I can remember and most of all the design was... drooling superb, I do hope somebody revives that too, with the same looks or very similar. There's nothing bad about revibing old brands btw, how that can be bad? There are so many many of miss like h*ll. Personally 'd love to see Topps Gold label and Stadium CLub, and some other oldfies too. You know why we want that? Cause they cared about basecards and inserts back then instead of putting together some sloppy crap UD often does.

Bayfin, if all you want is highend rookies and the hunt for money, you go ahead and do that but stop bashing the only company that actually takes care of collectors who care about base, inserts and cool designs.

Value btw. Yeah Panini lack value on the secondhand market, it's hardly their fault. Like with Dominion when it was released, and highend ITG products for that matter. I know what I think and I've looked into it carefully. I think they are sunk, certain sellers who on day one puts out ITG or Panini cards with way too low value, and once that is done the market is already set. Ever since I talked to hobbystore owners and people on the inside of UD, I know how dirty business this is.

And as for value on UD, SPA, Ultimate, SPGU and more - gthe odds of getting back 10-20% are huge, only if you buy their cases you get big hits. So for us who buy loose boexes now and then, UD don't have value at all. The difference with Panini is we at least get some good looking cards in the process.

And you dont get exactly money pack even from buying single boxes panini or ud maybe if you land real super high end cards of the best players then you have good chances selling back otherwise its buying big cases and not that many have that kind of money.

No of course not, Panini boxes may even have worse value due to the secondhand market. But what I do get, for the moment being anyway, is a bunch of a lot more nicer cards. Even if I get a crap result, say in Crown Royale, and get 10-20% value back, just like SPA often does. Compared to SPA, I get a bunch of great looking basecards, and a few intriguing inserts. What do I get in SPA? Among the most boring basecards that exists, and equally booring inserts with no imagination. So that is the difference between UD and Panini, you still stand without the value, but you got some great sets to start if you want to. Thus, it's more collector friendly.

Cr is just an example, I'm not too fond of that brand myself cause its too fancy, but you get the idea. Most brands UD put out is deadly boring if you look at the base and inserts. It's like they don't care, not the slighest.

As for the high prices versus value though, that is completely nuts regardless of company. I don't get people keep buying, but I do too, but it's really insane.

You shouldn't have to apologize for anything, it was a well-written and well-stated rant.
