    4) Pacific Trading Card Company. I beg you not to give me the lowdown that Panini owns the Pacific brand names and are doing the same thing because I will stop you right there. What Panini does is take the great products, parallels and insert names of the late Pacific Trading Card Company and turns them into modern, bland dredge. Boring memorabilia, an excessive (and that is being conservative since Upper Deck has some restraint) focus on rookie cards, sticker autographs, and autographs to begin with (Pacific made do with very few autograph cards in their products). Crown Royale was horribly destroyed by Panini (went from a fun 18 pack break to a lowly 4 packs with boring recycled card designs...wow), Titanium is looking like a shadow of its former great self, and I cross my fingers that they do not attempt to "re-invent" any of my other favorites such as Atomic, Omega, Dynagon Ice, and Prism. Now that I mentioned it, it is probably inevitable...the nightmare "Panini announces 2012-13 Panini Atomic, Panini Dynagon Ice, Panini Omega, and Panini Prism".

I am with you on this one.

Invincible was REALLY nice. Loved that one, with the acetate head shots in the corner of the cards.

Revolution, Dynagon, and Invincible from 1997-98 are gorgeous cards with amazing Parallels and unique inserts, al very innovative.

Three of the better sets ever produced.

I miss McDonalds hockey cards. The 05/06 series saw me open roughly 2500 packs. Didn't get one jersey card! Lol

Also agree with Topps Gold Label. Absolutely gorgeous cards, and none of them had bashed corners when you pulled them from boxes, like everything UD produces.

    They are truly wonderful card.

I like Centrehice's suggestion of Dynagon. I didn't collect hockey then but it is certainly my style.

I really like Fleer Ultra medallion's. The Ice and gold parallel's were really sharp. I thought it was cool how the base card was the regular action shot and the gold and ice medallion versions replaced the background. The script font was perfect for the design. I wish they came back with thicker card stock though. Also some of the horizontal designs were even better. Tim Thomas, Ovechkin and Lundqvist come to mind.

Call me crazy, but I miss Trilogy...it was always a fun bust with some different cards to pull and always some cool pulls. For $20 a pack, I'd rather have that than a similar Panini product.
