Columbus Management = Gong Show
Ok this really makes me laugh. Columbus get Jeff Carter, he comes to the club, he hates the club, he hates the city, he hates being there and makes no bones about it, and he does nothing as a player.
They offer him for trade and get a decent return, and not one bad thing is said about Carter, his lack of try, and his disdain for the franchise, his impotence.
Nash decides, he's tried his butt off for 10 years, perhaps it's time to move on. Now the difference between Nash and Carter, Nash has tried hard, Nash cares, and Nash does not hate Columbus.
But because the Jacket organization could not get more than anyone in the League was willing to offer, they Make Rick Nash sound like the the Bad Guy that wanted out at all cost?
Lol at you Columbus, you are not professional in the least. Call it like it is, not like you want it to be. You lied about Carter, and now you've lied about Nash. I hope Rick Nash just goes thru the motions now on the ice, you deserve that to happen to you because of your stupid behaviour.Last edited by centrehice; 02-27-2012 at 06:35 PM.

I feel bad for the fans they have
It's a shame these small market teams are all run by goofs (Atlanta, Phoenix, Columbus) etc
At least Nashville understands,

Agreed....
I feel bad for Columbus fans, they deserve better. The team is so incompetent over the life of the Franchise, they now want to blame the only player that won them games, instead of their own disastrous decisions.
Too funny for words.

Gong Show, yes..... though I'm not sure what they lied about.
Howson's problem is that he was too honest. There is no reason in the world to admit to Nash asking to be traded, even if it was true.
They're stuck, much like the Sens were with Heatley. Great player wants out, and becuase of the NTC - he limits the teams he wants to go to. GM is forced to negotiate trade with 5 teams only, and can't get a package he wants. What is he supposed to do?
Could go the same route as the Sens, and take a lesser deal from one of the teams one the list - or stick to his guns, and hold out to draft.... when it may be easier to get the kind of deals you want, and Nash may up the number of teams he'll accept a trade to.

Well TSN blamed Nash and said that that was also the sentiment coming from Columbus management.
Perhaps the Jackets don't hate Nash, and TSN is just stirring the pot. I could believe that.
But making it sound like it was all Nash's idea? I think it was a shared idea between Nash and the Team, once the team realizes that they cannot get the return they want, they called it Nash's idea, via TSN at least.
Nash is hardly a Heatley.

I think no matter what happens, Nash doesn't owe the Blue Jackets organization a single thing, while the Jackets owe any amount of validity they may have solely and entirely to Nash. That man has given that organization everything with absolutely no help and zero complaints until now. He could have left a long time ago, gone to a team willing to put real players around him and been one of the absolute top players in the league. Instead he sacrificed his personal achievements in order to try and lead this team to success and he has had no help whatsoever. He's apparently supposed to do everything all by himself all on the ice. I don't blame him for a second for wanting out, and I don't blame him if he's been a bit of a jerk about it. The Blue Jackets don't seem to respect or care about Nash and he just seems to be sick of it.

In fairness to Columbus, Nash was te one who signed off on an 8 year deal with Columbus organization

And also in fairness a team is not obligated to trade anyone just because they ask, that's not how things work, not in any company
However I am on Nash side, he deserves to be in a contending team

Nash deserves what he has already given his organization, he deserves a fair shake either in Columbus, or elsewhere. As his organization has not provided an atmosphere in which to foster a Stanley Cup run, then Nash should not feel the least bit concerned about wanting out, between now and when his contract is up.
If Nash had played like Bum like Carter had, I would not be on his side, but he has not, he has given his best in light of the franchise difficulties.

Nash has been loyal long enough. I wouldn't hold it against him if he sat the rest of the season. He's working for a losing organization, that isn't worthwhile no matter what job you're in and no matter how much money you make. Yes he signed off on 8 years in Columbus, but I'm sure he was under the impression they wanted a winning team, not a Three Stooges movie. They've shown absolutely no intent of even trying to be successful and for everything Nash has tried to do for them, it's a slap in the face to him.
