Gong Show, yes..... though I'm not sure what they lied about.

Howson's problem is that he was too honest. There is no reason in the world to admit to Nash asking to be traded, even if it was true.

They're stuck, much like the Sens were with Heatley. Great player wants out, and becuase of the NTC - he limits the teams he wants to go to. GM is forced to negotiate trade with 5 teams only, and can't get a package he wants. What is he supposed to do?

yeah I'd put it on Nash too. To say that you truly want out but ONLY if its to these few other various teams. If we hated our job and were miserable would be say 'yeah but I'll only send my resume out to these four different places'???

Limiting the possible choices to a chosen few and most of those times those chosen few don't want to give up something big to get something big and it just isn't worth it for other teams to give up younger players, cheaper players that are putting in similar production. Sharks wouldn't give up Logan Couture, who was a Calder finalist last year and exceeding his great rookie year stats. They didn't want a package Joe Pavelski and other players because Pavelski's salary is nearly half of Nash's while Pavelski has put up near similar numbers to Nash since coming into his own. Sure the other teams found the same situation in trying to trade for Nash. Basically with his contract and his numbers he just isn't worth all the hassle

I could understand his wanting out .....I really could but is thereever going to be a time when star players stick around on the teams that are trying

The NBA is horrid for this
Free agency is one thing but how do teams stay alive (with competant managment) when players will not give a chance to let the team rebuild or get better
Now Columbus is a perfect example of an owner that doesn't care and a manager that thinks so much of a player that no one could ever come close to the demands

If Nash had 50 goals and a hundred plus points in a seasaon I could understand the demands for him but Really .... Really

Time to move these teams to cities that will love them and support them enough that they can sign the big free agents

C'mon Man!. Take a look at how this pathetic franchise has been managed. They don't deserve an NHL team let be allowed to manage one.

You can only ask that question to teams of Franchises where they are legitimate, not Columbus, sorry. The title of the thread is Columbus Franchise = Gong Show Show me the error in my title.
