I don't think we can assume a store is bad just cause we get bad boxes. The thought has tickled my brain if Dacard is dirty, or if customers come there locally and pick up the casehit boxes, cause on like 40 straight boxes I havem't got a single casehit, not even on ten straight Cup tins (and one had a gold + decoy, but no casehit!). But seriously, 40 boxes is not statistical ground to stand on, I realise that, I'm sure Dacard is very honest and I just have no luck with them. It's a different thing if one buy 200-300 boxes with the same results. So if you got a dozen boxes from Quecan and they sucked, well, not their fault.

As for the chipping, perhaps that is due to something else. This report still makes me weary though, is everyone else content with Quecan?

And Satan, why do you prefer Dacard?

For what it's worth, Linda, I, too, have never been "wowed" by the contents of boxes I purchased through DA online, HOWEVER, I drove down to Buffalo, NY last autumn to check out one of their brick and mortar stores. I was there on a mission to grab myself a few tins of 10-11 The Cup, the first few tins of any release of The Cup I'd ever cracked... my first tin had a Malkin/Fleury dual signature patches AND.... a redemption for a Gretzky Scripted Sticks! My 2nd tin was the weakest, and still had a Patrick Roy Limited Logos... the prices were actually a bit higher than their online prices, but man oh man were the hits great! I guess when you order online, you have no idea what's being taken off the shelf in the warehouse. In person, in a store, you can ask about whether the boxes are from one or multiple cases, how many are left, etc. and do your odds/math that way. It still shouldn't matter one way or the other. I think it ultimately comes down to the luck of the draw, and not necessarily where the boxes were purchased.

It's probably always better when you can get a box from a fresh case. The best luck I've had with the store in sweden (note I say "the", there's only one lol) is when a product is entirely new and I ask them to directly open a case and send a box for me. I've heard of great hits with Dacard too when people buy locally from them, it could be the local buyers get better boxes. But, statistically it shouldn't matter really.

The best online store I've ever bought from was ncscanada, not sure why they disappeared. They certainly weren't the cheapest, but it was ultrafast service, answers and shipments like within 24 hours, you could ask for any service you wanted really, and I did have luck with them. It's the same with this store in Sweden btw, I can bug them on "when is it here when is it here", then they email me same hour it arrives, I pay, and they send the hour after. The pros with small serviceminded stores I guess : ) Sometimes a higher price can be worth it.

Dacard said they won't do nothing till 30 days has passed. It's really nuts that I have to spend expensive money to call USPS, and THEY told me the sender must contact them immediately to start an investigation, THEY said it's completely wrong it's in Greece and it's nothing to wait for. Incredibly nonchalant and sloppy attitude from Dacard so far.

Quecan next!! That's guaranteed unless Dacard makes a 180 degree turn and start to behave better

It sounds to me like Quecan has really changed their ways over the last several years. Admittedly, I haven't dealt with them in about 3, and everything I was told was via word of mouth. I think my friend was full of it! I have received only lousy boxes (content-wise) from they myself though, and two boxes of 02-03 Pacific Exclusive were totally paint-chipped and ruined.

Exclusive was notorious for chipping along the edges.. vast majority of cards from that set are like that.

I'm patient but I'm about to blow a fuse soon. Dacard repeated they can't start a claim before 30 days has gone. I called USPS again, and they said with Priority shippings it can be done after 7 days. So I've wasted another expensive phonecall. If Dacard won't do what USPS right now I'll start a paypal claim against them. It could be this spefific person I'm talking to is an idiot, as a VIP customer you get a specific person taking care of you, and they changed that person like six months ago and ever since it's just gettong worse. So perhaps I shouldn't bash Dacard in general.

Yes I remember Exclusive was horrible, so perhaps all that chipping wasn't Quecans fault? Last year when I bought Certified 40% of the cards were chipped, certainly wasn't the dealers fault.

Perhaps the problem lies with the mail sorting in europe, to be blaming USPS and DACARD might be jumping the gun a little bit. I Can't see Dave and Adam's mislabeling a box Greece, instead of Sweden, and once mail leaves a country it is really out of that post office's hands if I am not mistaken. I would assume that the mix up happened and europe, with a mail distributor there making the mistake.

I understand, and that's not the point. The point is Dacard doesn't care and give me wrong information and I personally have to sit and call usps, who urges me to tell the sender to start the claim right away. I tell the Dacard and they still give me an upper lip sticking to the 30 days, and I have to call usps again and get the same answer that the sender must do claim now right away. It's incredibly arrogant from Dacard! Me the buyer should not be the one to get this going. The customerservice sucks, right now. It haven't before, I'm a little chocked. In my book pre 2011 Dacard was most reliable, maybe I just have bad luck with one rep guy.

Here's what the situation sounds like to me:
Package goes to Greece instead of Sweden.
You call USPS. It's not their problem until the seller files the claim.
You call DAC. It's not their problem until the 30 days is up.

It sounds to me like USPS literally can't do anything about it until the other end files a claim. DAC won't start the claim until the time limit is up. It's really kind of crappy, but it does seem like everyone here is within their rights, though very little actual care is happening here.

Ultimately, it sounds like you're stuck with nowhere to go right now. It really sucks, but there' little you can do about it other than going on a public tirade about how poorly you feel this has been handled (Facebook, website, email, etc.)

No Dacard was deadwrong about the 30 days, they got the wrong info and I have had to tell them 4 times before their really listened to me. They have *finally* made the claim with usps now after I repeatedly told them what usps told me. At last the guy apologised to me. Now all I can do is wait and get off my soapbox. I will still check out this quecan place, I'm a little tired of dacard for the moment.
