50cc For A Banner...

actually after seein my old banner and yours it does appear a little bit larger..but i have seen plenty bigger than it

Well thats a GIF.. This takes up more room. 3 pics in one really. So 3 times the space. I can make those GIF images the same size as a JPG. So maybe the creator didnt do that, or the mod didnt even bother to look.

I'm not quite sure how it all works, but I think your problem is that that banner is over the 45kb limit...mine is 23kb, while I believe yours is over 100kb, unless I'm mistaken.

yeah probably the case man,you could make the GIF's a JPG? and they would still move? how hard of work is that? i love my old banner i hand selected all of the photo's and put it together with Shawn (the creator) so i was pretty upset it got deleted..

Thats a GIF file so normally its 3 times as big as a JPG file ( 3 pics in one, go figure). One can make a GIF file the same size as a JPG though. So either the creator of this pic for you didnt do that, or the mod didnt bother to check the size. But anyways, thats prolly why your pic got the big boot. Im new here and havent looked to see if they have a file size restiction along with a pic dimension size.

Right. The file size probably did you in, not the dimensions. Has to be a gif to move like that, but with fewer colors, it would get under the limit-- if there is a limit.

Sorry about the multiple posts. The site slowed down on me , and i just kept pressing send..lol.. I could make your pic under the restricion size maybe. 45k is pretty small. I would need all 3 pics , and have to render them down, like Jag was mentioning. Lotta work, to bad the original creator just didnt do it. Plus they might have a jpg only restiction anyways. Heh , I'm to lazy to look....=0p
