My experience with blasters is that Panini put more hits and inserts into blasters than Upper Deck. Panini products usually turn out one solid hit per box.
Artifacts is horrible! I've opened many blasters and have only gotten one Star SP and one jersey. I have never hit a colored parallel from Artifacts blasters.
Uppr Deck Series 1 and 2 will yield some Young Guns, but you will not get Exclusive, HG or Spectrum cards. If you have to buy UD, I'd stick with Black Diamond. That one has actually been pretty good to me.Hidden Content

I personally go with retail UD 1 and 2, BUT not until the next year when Dave&Adams (dacardworld.com) have them on the cheap. Just pulled 2 Eberle YG's a few weeks ago from retail they had for @ 1$ per pack. Same with 2 Tavares YG AND I hit a Stamkos YG out of a $10 blaster. All from D&A. I just don't see buying a hobby box of UD when all you get in addition to your YG's is a $3 Jersey card and a 1 in 12 chance at a case hit. Only regret here is the lack of S2 from last year, so no Seguin yet.

In retail breaks I've hit 2 Gold RCs #/50 3 "Silver(retail I think) Legends #100 and 1 jersey card.
I've also hit at least 4 blasters with nothing but base, not even a star or legend, just base.

The debate lingers on... Like I said I am anti-Panini until they can prove that their company and customer service department isn't totally incompetent and ship out my redemption which I redeemed over a year ago from a high end product... Despite countless emails and phone calls they don't seem to know how to respond to either. Enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth... Interesting never the less.

Retail I go with is at Target, they have had Donruss, Pinnacle and Score.
I've gone for the Pinnacle before because it has one hit a threads card. Got Joe Thornton in the only break I did of that. Not bad for $20 plus I got a couple of inserts and a rookie.

Yeah for some reason the selection around me is scarce for hockey...especially this time of year... That and yugioh and Pokemon are killing anything sports card related... oh did I mention Justin Beiber sticker packs too?! Walmart, Target and other retail chains also put cards in a spot which is impossible to look at the selection (i.e. express checkout lanes) where a grown man like myself feels as though I'm getting in someones way who is trying to check out.. lol

I agree with the people mentioning UD2 tins. I've had pretty good success with them this year.

I've ordered a blaster of BAP 08-09 for 16$ delivered on ebay. I'm curious about what I'll get.
I've bought a bunch of UD 08-09 at Walmart, which were really cheap (10$/tin). I got a Stamkos YG in them.
I only buy blasters when they have 50-60% discount.
