Like over priced breaks and boxes? CnC is your answer! I'd much rather support my LCS or any other brick and mortar who had to start from the ground up, rather than a basement where they received distributor prices without having a storefront. How fair is that to all those LCS who spent a huge amount of investments to make a shop?
You tell me.

What he is saying is that for years the guys of CnC were selling from their parents basement to make bank and then the scrounged up a few bucks and got a store because if they didn't...bye bye income.

I can only speak for my own experiences with them, but it's always been positive. I've been in their store once, also bought from them a couple of times at the expo. Always very friendly, and their prices are very competitive (either priced the same, or a little bit lower than the compitition). The comments about USA vs Canada pricing are bang on. We pay much more for wax on this side of the border.
As for the group breaks - I did two with them earlier in the year, and had absolutly no problems with either. Cards came to me reasonably quick, and no damage.
I'm not a huge fan of the 'team break' model for group breaks - but they obviously have a lot of people who do like it. Myself, I prefer a draft style.... then eveyone is getting somthing.....
They seem nothing but reputible to me.

Why does it matter where they started? Isn't it in the best interest of any business to expand? I mean if someone does something to save/make money so that they can one day achieve a goal is there something wrong with that? If so then Bill Gates made a huge mistake starting Microsoft in his garage. Right?

The only reason CnC got their shop is because they had to, UD's new regulations on who could sell and who couldnt forced their hand, I am sure they would have loved to stay in the basement and keep even more for themselves but UD wouldnt allow that.

Just wanted to clarify that Canada Customs has nothing to do with those brokerage fees that you and others are charged. Those broker fees come from the company that you are using to have items shipped - for example, Fedex or UPS. These companies use customs brokers to handle package processing at the border, pay a fee, and then pass that fee along to the buyer. This is one of the main reasons why I don't like having packages shipped here via either of those methods. Paying HST or GST is one thing, but it's painful when you spend $100 and then have to pay another $40 on top of that.
I'm on the border (Fort Erie) so now I'm just having everything sent to Buffalo and picking it up.

Great guys. I rarely come out ahead in the GBs. But I trust those guys and they provide GREAT customer service. So, every now and then, I come back for more. Last month, I won a spot in a future GB... I was told which one it was. The next day, it has a hard time filling... so I'm waiting a long time. They get to the GB and I'm not in it. I contacted them and asked them what was going on. Apparently, the other ran the break from the night before and didn't communicate which one I was in to the other. I was reassured it would be fine. They had me in a higher value GB the next day. That's called "recovery" folks... and it leads to a very higher perception of their customer service. Beyond that, they always get the cards out on time. They had one of my packages sent back to them (address mixup on my part) and sent it back out the next day on their dime. Smart businessmen....
