By tipping point do you mean that only exceptional jersery cards are worth anything? If that's the case, then yes. We hit it a long time ago - and it will (likely) only get worse.

What do you think the manufacturers should do? Stop making jersey cards??? Limiting them to only certain products?? Becuase what would happen then - the products without (by and large) wouldn't leave the shelf. Nobody would by them, if there were no 'hits'.

This ^. Card collectors are getting too greedy about expecting major hits in every box. If you want a better chance of a great hit buy more expensive products.
