Help with a strange Lemieux card
So I was going through my old cards and I came across this...

I remember that it came from a video game box, I think NHL 2002. The placed on card in each box, and I'm assuming this was one of the better ones to get. I was just wondering if this has any trade value. I'm a little confused because it IS an Upper Deck card, but at the same time, its basically just a promo card for a video game. Has anyone seen any of these around in trades or sales? Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

1994 EA Sports
Mario Lemieux - Gold SP Parallel - BV - $75.00
Hard to find nowadays, Very Nice card. They sell very well when available on eBay. You can probably get $20.00-$25.00 for this Very Rare Gold.
Have not found the Pull Ratio, as it was not available. But very. very tough pull.

They came with NHL 2002 games. I sold a Yzerman Bronze one for around $5 or $6 plus shipping awhile ago on eBay. I think there were 3 levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold (which was the rarest). I think I still have an Owen Nolan Silver at home somewhere...NHL 2002 was awesome as a kid!

Only 2 Levels were produced.
The Regular Grey/Silver and this one above, the Gold. I messed up on the price. The Reg is $15.00, this gold is 5 X Times multiplier. - $75.00Last edited by centrehice; 04-05-2012 at 04:24 PM.

WOW that made my day! lol I'm gonna try to trade it, I'm sure there are Lemieux collectors on here that would want it. Thanks so much for the information!! Is is located in the SCF Inventory?

Apologies, everything I said was correct except for the year.
The 1994's run directly into the 2001 EA's and I didn't see it.
2001 Gold SP Mario - $75.00

I'm not trying to deflate anyone, but BV on older cards can be decieving and need to be taken with the same grain of salt as many eBay listings. That said, without actual print run information, it might be a tough sell at BV prices... It's definitely a nice card and will fill a collection for someone if they don't already have one, but $75 might be steep for a video game insert.

There are two different Lemieux's and the listing above was for the other one.

ahhh that's kind of what i was afraid of. Either way, I wasn't planning on selling it. Maybe I'll reach out to some super mario collectors and see what they would offer to me for trade.
Also, i've been looking for any other copy of the #1 instead of the #2 and I can't find one. Not saying that its ultra rare, but it might be rarer than the #2...still kinda investigatingLast edited by comfortably9numb; 04-05-2012 at 06:21 PM.
