Their power play was RIDICULOUS. Considering we have a dang good PK I was just amazed at their efficiency when on the power play. I hate the Flyers but I gotta hand it to their management for the changes they made in the offseason and making it work this well.
Already hearing the "trade Sid", "the team needs to be blown up", and "get rid of Bylsma" talks on The Fan...yoy.

so glad that penguins are out. I've nothing personal against them, but ESPN America (=Europe) would have shown EVERY single Pens game until the final if they had gone that far... and that would have sucked since they are only showing 1 game per day at max

People yelling for Bylsma's head, are simply put, ........ halfwits.
I think that the Pens players took a look at their season (and it was marvelous one), and assumed that their expectation was an Stanley Cup Finals berth minimum and with some effort, another Cup, before ever considering what steps they needed to take to achieve that.
Bylsma should have had them watch all 16 of their wins from 2009, perhaps he even did so......
The Pens lost their discipline between the Bluelines, the area in which they controlled play both offensively, and defensively during the regular season.
Bylsma cannot molly-coddle them once the the door to the player's bench opens, the execution is all in their hands.

I really don't know who to blame for this series. Bylsma? Sid? Geno? Shero? Fluery? The defense?
I really like Blysma, but is he to much of a players coach? Do they need some discipline? Three years in a row an early exit (last year can be somewhat overlooked). But he got outcoached again by the Flyers. Are the Flyers the better team? Who knows, but they advanced and the Pens didn't. You cannot and I mean cannot continue to give up PP goals, Shorthanded goals and get embarrassed throughout the series with undisciplined hockey. Someone needs to be held accountable.
Does Shero need to blow something up similar to Holmgren last year? My opinion is Malkin and some defense. Teams could be shy about Sid, but Malkin not so much. I'm willing to give Sid a pass this go round because we can't say he played at 100%. Who knows if we will ever see the same player we did before the concussions. But an offseason to get healthy, would be key to seeing what we have the rest of his career. We need to mix in some fresh young blood. It sure isn't Tangradi.
Fluery was inconsistent once again in the playoffs. Something was different the last two weeks of the regular season. It continued to show in the playoffs. How many times can he get a free pass?
The defense was horrendous. Was the Flyers PP that good or was the PK that bad for the Pens? I say a combination of both, but Bylsma never fixed it. Paul Martin has got to go. I do like Letang, but I wonder if he wants to play offense or defense. Need to bring up the young guys and move some players. It could be hard with the overpaid salaries of some players. But it's broke and needs to be fixed.
I hate the Flyers and hope someone takes them out, but all the Pens did was give them confidence. Pens better show up next year because the Flyers have all the pieces. The Flyers only issue is the goalie.

Totally disagree. You are discounting the huge Flyer effort with this statement. The Dinner Table was set. The Pens gorged themselves in the regular season and came to the banquet with full bellies.
The Flyers arrived in hunger mode, and the performance of the Flyer Rookies and young players was paramount in the win.
The Flyers had more desire, and it was shown in their execution. Laviolette did nothing special but get them to bed on time.

I can agree, but you don't think that had anything to do with being outcoached? Lavy has dominated Blysma over the past two years.

I would say that the Flyers have the Pens number. This is the match-up that should never happen. By that I mean the ranking system is outdated and division winners should not get the top 3 spots. It should be ranked based on points from 1-8 in the conference. Pittsburgh would have played Washington and Philly would have played Florida. The 2nd and 3rd teams in points in the East were the 4th and 5th seeds. The Pens blew game 1 when they were up 3-0.
