The next 20 minutes will show us what this Penguins team has in their guts. If they can find a way to scratch and claw back into this game and maybe, just maybe, win it, we could see a totally revitalized club in Game 4.

Definitely a chippy series... I dunno if Schenn has been a "scumbag"...He's finished his checks for sure... The hit from Asham definitely merits a swift and lengthy suspension, the fact he followed up with a punch or two after Schenn was laying on the ice certainly doesn't help his case... Go Flyers!

Of all the fans in the NHL, I would think Philadelphia fans would appreciate the Asham play more than most. I remember when the players used to police the league on their own to send messages like that. Anyway, the Flyers just want it more. It's been 37 years and they came so close a couple of years ago. I'm sure the fans and media are putting a lot of pressure on them. I'm sure most Flyers fans weren't even born the last time they won; or if they were, they were still sucking on their mommy's breast. I realize this is a trading card message board and not a real NHL board. Also, I don't know how many of you actually played hockey, but what Letang and Asham did was absolutely necessary in my opinion. By the way, Schenn = diver! He was back on the ice three minutes later. It didn't hurt him a bit.

For a goalie some thought was Vezina worthy in 11-12....doesnt seem so much in this playoffs.... 18 goals in 8 periods - OUCH!

Besides this game...I dont think I remember so many Discipline issues going to the NHL in one playoffs....Seems like there is one almost every game...every series

Exactly. Asham is a good enough scrapper that he could have engaged Schenn and put a whoopin on him instead of a senseless penalty.

I agree. But Schenn won't fight! He'll charge a player that's engaged with another, but he won't fight to back it up. Even if Asham would of engaged him, Schenn would have turtled!

I've never been more embarassed to be a Pens fan.
I've been through DeBartalo locking the teams employees out in the 70's, an average attendance of 2,000 in the early 80's, Howard Baldwins ownership in the 90's up until the Pre-Sid era. Ray Shero had better make several changes before the next season and it starts in goal. What makes it worse is that it's the Flyers that showed what's needed.
Marc-Andre Fleury has absolutely no rebound control and can no longer move from side to side if his life depended on it. Brent Johnson just has a job until either Brad Thiessen or Patrick Killeen can prove themselves worthy.
The defense is a joke. Paul Martin and Zybnek Michalek need to be investigated for stealing a paycheck. Derek Engelland has showed flashes of talent, but he's the one who should be dropping the gloves, not Kris Letang. Brooks Orpik looks like he should be playing thirdbase for the Pirates with as many "Ole" moves as he showed. Other than Letang, I would expect to see the others in new uniforms next season. Simon Despres, Alex Grant, Robert Bortuzzo, Carl Sneep, & Philip Samuelsson at least deserve a look.
Offensively, the Pens look great with the exceptions of Jordan Staal, who as a supposed defensive specialist, looks lost more than half of the time, and Arron Asham, whos display today makes Matt Cooke look like a Lady Byng candidate.

I hang my head in shame today.

At this point, it's just outrageous. Pens need to realize they've been destroyed and try to maintain some amount of class, but that's clearly not going to happen. Absolute disgrace of an organization, including the players, coaches, fans, and everything. Absolute disgrace. They deserve to have it handed to them the way they are. Classless.
