Yeah I don't like it either, but it's how they cover their rear. I've found when it says "while supplies last" that means don't count on said item lasting long. I'd be angry if I didn't get the packs either. Personally I think Topps' customer relations is poor, and that would be putting it politely.

I sent my packs in a week before the promotion ended. Received the 3 redemption packs no longer than 2 weeks later.

I think I sent in my bundles around this same time frame, also received my packs probably within 7 business days of me sending them out. I was stunned by the turn around.
I usually have a lot of empathy for fellow collectors, but the early bird does get the worm. I would be overjoyed at the fact Topps is ready and willing to make up for the lack of supply to meet the overall demand in Series 2.
But, in the end, it's a promotion. A bonus. Topps doesn't have to do wrapper promos, but they do and most people got the Series 1 cards. I'm a little jealous you get the Series 2 cards, because the checklist for Series 1 all around just doesn't tickle my pickle at all. I'm hoping Series 2 has some of the great Twins in it (Killebrew, Carew, Puckett, Blyleven, Morris) as well as current Twins in the base stuff. It's more enjoyable to open a product knowing there is a possibility, no matter how slight, that you'll get someone in a uniform that you cherish.

I think I see a pattern here. Does any one know, I did not check was the promotion offered to Canadians? That might be the reason I did not receive anything. Which would suck since they honor redemption cards to Canada.

It just bums me out that I sent mine in before other people and they got their packs and I got squat. So I will not get suckered into buying series 2. The packs i get(if they ever come, but am not gonna hold my breath) I will trade unopened. All that series 1 crap I bought I will just have to unload. 9 hobby boxes, 5 jumbos, countless retail and a ton of blasters. I dont mean to sound like a baby, but that really took away the fun of trying to put the basic topps and insert sets together.
I don't really like defending Topps since I've gotten the short end of the stick on a few occasions, but it was "while supplies last". In reallity they probably don't have to give anyone anything after they ran out. I do find it ironic how most don't want over produced cards, but when there's not enough there should have been more.
I prefer that people are mad and get left out rather than getting in the Topps Delorean and reliving 80's and 90's card collecting again.Last edited by CincinnatiKelly; 04-13-2012 at 03:22 PM.

You do have a point. But I think most are missing the actual point. He is saying his were sent in well before others whom still received theirs.

to me if it said "while supplies last" there is no point. I can't say if it did, I did not participate. Not knowing all the details of the redemption but from what i do know is it was called Gold Rush, as in hurry or "rush" to get yours before someone else does. Just my 2 cents.
