Sketchy ebay sales
I'm just trying to figure this situation out but i'm 75% sure i'm getting scammed. I sold my 2nd RNH Ice (55/99) to a guy with a straight paypal transaction to get away from ebay fees. He did not want to pay for anything shipping related (customs/other forms of shipping besides the basic first class). He then filed a complaint stating it never came in and won because of some bull™™™™ reasoning. About a week later, this turns up on ebay. I know that's not his picture and I find really strange that he would buy more then 1 when most of his previous sales are high-end rookies or high bv cards. I already called ebay and had the thing looked at by the security team earlier today. Any help would be great.

What I don't understand is how can you ship a card of that magnitude without tracking?

He refused to pay for anything except first class because he complained about customs/fronting extra funds. I can still get my money back accordng to a customer service associate from paypal.
I just want to know if he's on here/deals with anyone on the site.

What is the card? I can't click links :(
If it was really expensive,Honestly I would've said nevermind if he didn't want tracking.
You could've sold it to someone else no problem.Last edited by hawk2618; 04-11-2012 at 07:48 PM.

RNH Ice Premiers /99. I pulled SN 45/99 and 55/99. 45/99 had a smooth transaction with the buyer wanting the item shipped with customs and valued at the amount it was sold for. He is also an Oilers collector. 55/99 is the one in question.

Hopefully, you get your money back. But with paypal, without any form of tracking, paypal will side with the buyer every time a buyer files a chargeback.
But who knows, maybe the guy never did recieve the card as it was stolen by someone else.

I figured that. I'll call paypal tomorrow and figure it out. The picture he used is from one that was already sold and I have sent both him a message from my friends ebay and a message to the seller of the ended auction myself to see if he sold it to him. I'm in the process of getting it resolved as we speak. I'm just trying to see if anyone has dealt with him before.

GL with finding your card or the $$ owed, but this may end up being an expensive lesson. Around eBay, you'll see a bunch of people saying "I will not falsify customs forms" and "anything over $xx requires tracking". In the end, if your buyer refuses to pay, sometimes you have to pony up the cash and pay for tracking yourself.
I really hope you get reimbursed for this and that the guilty party is found. I did a quick google search and didn't find anything on sak29.
On location, there have been a lot of people complaining about hockey cards going missing when crossing into Quebec from the USA at customs. Its almost an epidemic. Very important to having tracking and insurance on those.
Cheers,
