    High End WWE Set?

I was talking about this with a buddy of mine yesterday. What if Topps came out with a high end product for WWE. Like 200-300 dollars a box style. Much like they do for all other sports. Would you buy it? Depending on what you could get I think it would have the potential to be a great idea. The only problem I see as why they wouldn't do it is most boxes when they first get released are under 70. Not sure if the wrestling card collectors would shell out that kind of money..

I'll be up for that, sort of sick of all this generic cheap junk that keeps coming out

Definitely would love Topps to do sets like Finest, and Triple Threads. They could possibly have cut signatures or deceased wrestlers.

An Andre auto. Or a Von Erich cut booklet would be nice. Maybe Trips would actually sign for it.

Ooh or buy back autos from the 80's sets. That would be great.

The options for high end set are endless really. I hope they do it someday. Would be nice to chase booklets, cut autos, as well as other past sets thy've had that were awesome to get like signed mat autos and chair piece relics. Could also make relics from ladders, ring ropes, steel steps, announcer table, boots, turnbuckles and so on. Even if they dont do this, I hope they do some mid card sets cause the rate were going with classics and 2011 is getting kinda sad and very boring. As a collector its a big letdown especially when you see a company like UFC who is very new to the game of sports cards already making better sets than WWE who has been doing this consistently since like 2005, and making cards overall since the 90's.

I would say this is long over do.

I would say the buying interest is already established for at least a $100 per box offering.

You have to think about the other sports buyers who would jump in too.

    $200-$300 a box isn't that huge of a risk I don't think.

Topps should create a whole new higher value line that is defined by the wrestling brand & which expands to include the other sports. What would that be? I haven't birthed any ideas yet.

Will something be released this year? Hmmmm.

i'm kind of a cheap skate. 200 to 300 dollars is quite a bit. i'll probaly leave that set to you guys. football and baseball has a big enough audience to get back that kinda return on boxes but wrestling.... probaly not. if i'm buying to collect that is too much. if i could get some return on what i don't want in my pc that may be one thing. those kind of cost is why i don't collect football cards. how cool would it be to get a 300 dollar box of cards and best thing you hit is a 40 dollar sheamus autograph?
