Question, I never though i'd ask...

    Hey Guys:

I'm sure you've noticed my thread virtually dead lately, put aside some IP stuff. Over the past 2 years, I've gotten to the point where I have sent out a lot of the guys I'd really like to have. Not saying there's absolutely none I still need to send, but the list is very small.

So here's my question: How are you guys still get returns daily!? I used to love going to the mailbox everyday, seeing how many I got... But I just don't know who/what to send! I understand that I really only send to fairly relevant names but I'm almost completely stumped...

So I came up with a few ideas, but I'd like to hear how some of you guys are still firing out requests!!

I do have Harveys List, addresses aren't much of an issue.

    - Improve the Eagles PC via TTM (With recent IP opportunities, this is #1 right now)
    - Specific teams (Ex: '69 Jets)
    - Start other sports (I don't know other sports like I do Football)

People that share my Alma Mater, favorite sets growing up (1988 Topps FB, 1989 Pro Set), great teams ('72 Dolphins, '85 Bears, '96 Packers); people that are from the great state of OH, Former Indians/Browns/Cavaliers, teams that have a good amount of signers ('80 Phillies, '60s Pirates).... There are times when you definitely lose interest. I quit for 5 months when I did not find time or inspiration (Oct '11-February '12) but just finished sending out 74 for April. I enjoy buying old books and seeing a time period perspective of who was important....there really are some great athletes that get lost in time. Good luck and hopefully this list inspires you!

Find a nice set to try and work on. I know that quite a few people are sending to guys from the recent Topps Heritage Minors set.

The team ideas was definitely a thought, as well as lesser known stars of their eras. Thanks man!

Sets were another thought, but it seems like a lot to get all the cards...

I'm having a blast trying to collect one Raiders sig for every number 00-99...you could do that with the Eagles..It seems easily attainable, but some numbers aren't well represented so it makes things interesting I've been at it for a few yaers now and I'm down to like 15 or so numbers...I'm doing mine through a combo of ttm, trades, and in person.

I would love to try this with the Packers...but 1, 3, and 14 haven't been worn since the '50's.

Maybe you'll get luck and one of the draftee's will get those numbers!

14 and 3 are retired in honor of Don Hutson and Tony Canadeo, unfortunately...and the #1 is not retired for whatever reason, but only ever credited to Curly Lambeau.
