I'll add to this thread again..... no way are we going to see a player on the losing team win the Smythe this year. With three teams left, I would say this:
LA - Quick and Brown are 1A and 1B. Kopitar is #2
NYR - King Henrik is the only guy that really stands out
New Jersey - Nobody strikes me as having a truely spectacular playoffs yet....so the obvious three: Brodeur, Parise, Kovalchuck are all in the hunt.
If the Kings win, Quick will likely keep playing all-world hockey to do it. Brown could tail off and they've got enough other weapons that the team would be okay. Kopitar same thing. A monster 10 point finals could very well put one of those guys over the top, but I think the trophy is Quick's at this point.
If the Rangers win, it will be on the back of Lundqvist..... as all their success this year has been.
If the Devils win, likely one of those three guys I mentioned will have to have a CRAZY GOOD finals, not to mention a great last 2 or 3 games against the Rangers.
Way too early to call it.

You could say the same for Quick - Any other goalie and Kings lose another 1st round......
Quick may get snubbed for Vezina due to East Coast Bias...but he is keeping the Kings in the playoffs....

Yep - he could be on his way if he keeps doing what he did in game 1

We'll hopefully find out tonight.
It's Jon by the way, not John.

Kopitar is obviously the greatest player ever to wear skates. To say otherwise just means you're bitter. Right?

Off to our home away from home, the road!

I'd say you're just bitter about the loss, but that would be rude and incorrect...

Conn Smyth Standings for me:
1) Kopitar
2) Quick
3) Brown
NJD(If the pull off a miracle):
1) Henrique
2) Brodeur

Why do I care if they lose a game?
Sure, it would have been nice to sweep but they'll still have a few trophies in the case that the Canucks have yet to see.
