Hasek has surprised in the NHL before, and it wouldn't be unexpected if he did it again. I'm looking forward to seeing him make a possible comeback to the NHL.

i'd root for him to do well out of respect and for the sake of a cool story...but it would be a shame to see a great player like him come back and embarras himself.

well said. How many times farve came back. although farve had a few good seasons, he should have just stayed retired.

Hasek is now 47 and it's going to be tough for him to come back to the NHL in this day and age. I highly doubt it would go any further than a tryout.

    Good luck to him!

Do I hope he does well? Yes.

Do I think he'll do well? No.

I remember Dom backing up Ozzie, here is Detroit and even then he was starting to look a little long in the tooth. Would it be cool to see him back??? Yes it would. But do I think he can still do it ??? No, No I don't. I like Dominator, and what he helped win here in Detroit, but there comes a time to hang up the skates and I think that time for him is now.

    Seriously?

Dont be THAT goalie that tries to play and end it on a bad note...he was one of the best goalies ever - should keep that reputation and not mess it up with a bad attempt to return. He will get lit up with the kids out there....

    DON'T DO IT HASEK

An interesting article about off-season physical conditioning:
    http://thehockeywriters.com/training...he-off-season/

It mentions especially in this cap era, players have to pass these physical exams. I remembered Keith Tkachuk failed one of these and was suspended as a result.

Likely for his best chances to keep playing in North America is in the AHL. Mike Keane did that for many years since he just wanted to play.

Hasek apparently did not fair well with KHL team Spartak Moscow and other Russian clubs are not interested in him. With that in mind, it's highly doubtful to see him play another regular season game in the NHL.

i dont see it happening, 7 yr difference between brody n hasek, he was a great goalie in the 90's..but i dont see it being a positive return for his career.
