To me, the difference is if it is an established player or a retired player versus a guy in single-A. If a guy has over 100 different cards out there, and the signatures are on all different cards, great. I don't understand the single-A or rookie ball player who someone brings a page of Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects cards to them for signatures. If you are signing 9 of the same card, that's a red flag, since first of all, you can't say the guy is your favorite player that you have been following for years, as that is highly unlikely, and 2nd, whenever you are getting the same card or photo signed, that is a tell that you are hoping to sell some day if the person gets famous, or whatnot. Signing different cards, that implies (IMO) that the person is a collector or a fan, more than a seller. As always, just my opinion...

Most dealers aren't running around with stacks of Bowman Draft. The people who do that seem to be the people who just like to get tons of autographs. I used to be like that back when I was younger. I'd buy huge lots off ebay just to get tons of autographs. The people I hung out with at the park were the same way. They had sheets of bowman draft for guys and they don't sell a thing.

I was at a wnba game the other day and had duplicates of the same card but the player was kind enough to sign both. The player in question which I will not reveal her name in public is a decent ball player but not one that I could make a lot of money selling her card. I will probably trade the extra card and if the person I trade with decideds to sell the card online that is their issue not mines.
